Not all the signatories are Chief(s) of a LE agency or even associated with LE.

Further, the National Reciprocity is not good business for the citizens of this country but not from the perspective reflected by the good Chief(s) and other signers of their letter.

Sheriffs are higher than the Police Chief in each county......

City police chiefs don't amount to a hill of beans when they have to square off against the Sheriff's in their A.O. it' the Sheriff's who are empowered with in the county and State to uphold or strike down any laws they feel unconstitutionl, what you should be looking at is the stance each Sheriff in your state holds. To use OryGun as an example, all but 4 Sheriffs have repeaedly told the Gov'ness and the State Police which laws to uphold and which will not be enforced, and come November, we will be seeing a lot more power of that office!!!

Sheriff's are, in every county of this union, recognized as the highest peace officer in the county.

The Feds have, in some counties have been told, they may not begin their activities without informing the county sheriff of their plan(s).
