A friend's son-in-law died recently and left firearms behind that the widow didn't know what to do with. I helped out with "rehoming" the modern guns, but there's a flintlock musket that I can't identify. The gun has a machine-stamped "MADE IN BELGIUM" on it and the barrel-band screws don't look primitive, so my guess is that it dates from the late 1800s to early 1900s.

Can anyone here point me in a direction to help identify what this gun is?

While I have zero experience with flintlocks, I did a search and grabbed some links.

Good luck in your quest
