They were, read the story linked in the post. I'll bet background checks were done on every transfer of a weapon so that criminals weren't lined up to purchase them. So we took them out of the hands of criminals and put them in the hands of law abiding citizens and the City saved some taxpayer dollars, what's wrong with that?I thought those "surrendered" guns were supposed to be destroyed?
