My favorite story is that it got stuck under the wooden flight deck of a Pacific fleet aircraft carrier for a year or two. It was discovered when they were replacing the flight deck.

A friend gave me this Enfield MK4 parts gun for Christmas in the 80s I put a synthetic stock on it painted it and became my ATV/Truck gun on the East Coast in the mountains ( the small ridges west of the coast) it is very accurate for a 16-inch barrel.
.303 was plenty of gun for the bears we found on the trails at times.
