How far do you want to drive? Also , just being BLM doesn't mean you will be able to shoot there as the vast majority of BLM within decent driving distance is blocked off by ranchers or other individuals who will tell you they have been given permission to deny access by BLM because they have significant other holdings in the area. It was bad decades ago so has to be much worse now with the politics here. There is a small area on 344 just East of the north14 intersection that is in an old mine claim area that you can shoot if it is unlocked. Unfortunately , the people who go there and shoot have turned it into a veritable dump with discarded trash that they never take back with them and I would expect that to get the permanent lock treatment any time.

distance isnt a issue, I just need a place where I wont be bothered and I can work on my builds at the same time. I expect to have a few issues with my new bullpup build. Also I seem to annoy everyone at calibers when I go, 7.5in ARs seem to piss everyone off

Ojito. It's about an hour. North on 550, turn just before San ysidro. About 5 miles off the highway starts the blm land.
