So last week I inherited a few guns from my Grandfather. No one in my family knew he had these guns til he died and they offered them to me. I'll make more posts about in the future but I was curious about this revolver the most. The Serial Number is E36743. I'm just looking for any info possibly out in the world about them. I Googled the manufacturing year and the best I can find is between the '20s or '30s. But if anyone has any more info on these it would be greatly appreciated! 20240528_071932.jpg 20240528_071923.jpg

Iver Johnson had a long and checkered-grip past. But never an issue with sturdiness, and though parts can be a challenge these workhorses seldom need them. It appears to be a single action but these came with six and eight and nine shot cylinders. There's no ivory involves but the cowboy-style notched grips probably place it in the late 50's to late 60's. A gun like this made in 1960 probably cost $25 or so and is likely worth $200 $250 even though you can trip across them for half that from time to time. Not many Colts have appreciated that much! And there will be plenty of forums with details that you can match the gun to and determine manufacture date and model from.

I like the classic style if those. Mine were solid quality.
