Yes indeed!
We had to walk 4 miles in and 4 miles out.
Shot Elk around 4PM got out of woods at 1AM! Thank goodness two other hunters were walking out and they did lend a hand.

I enjoy the walk and stalk that is the fun part. The work starts after the shot.
Next time I think I will use a tow truck

What an honor and wonderful experience.
My upset is now how much trash I see that people do not pack out.
I don't think it is done by hunters however.
