Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Southwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico.
Suggest you look into a Zermatt Arms TL-3 action. Expensive (mine was $1400 once in my full possession), but a beautiful piece of machinery. The tolerances and finish are lightyears ahead of anything mass-produced. The bolthead is interchangeable for .378", .473" and .532" cases. Uses Savage small-shank barrels, so you can switch barrels easily at home with an action wrench and a headspace gauge. Mine is a left-bolt/right-port short action model so being lefthanded, I can see the port while loading it. Yes, they are expensive; but so is everything that's of very high quality. I had mine in 77 days after ordering it. I waited 18 months for my lefthanded Montana Rifle Company action; ordered in April 2003.
