Where are the SouthWest Gun owners and Shooters?

Have to ask, this area of the country used to be full of firearms enthusiasts? The southwest used to be the quintessential 'gun zone' in modern America. WTF happened?

There are plenty of politics in our country, but guns used to be the thing that everyone in this region could agree on and articulate. Where is the philosophical center now? No judgements, all views are welcome here…
