Without reading the article, I'm going to say the gun-haters are "scared" of women and minorities being suitably-armed because the hoplophobes fear that once a member of their "locked-in voting bloc" becomes familiar with a firearm, it's not a greet leap for that member to soon depart that voting bloc. I took a tall, thin & blond stripper friend of mine out to familiarize her with an AR. She took right to it, and now she wants one of her own. She has become quite diligent with a two-stage trigger and a 30-round magazine. It's quite fun to watch her lay waste to whatever is in-line with the muzzle...
