The new Old West: Is Tombstone's gunfight ordinance legal?

Tombstone's ordinance came after an actor fired a bullet instead of a blank. But Arizona law says only the state can enact gun laws.

Has the Sheriff exerted his authority in this? Remember, the Sheriff is the ultimate arbiter of law within his/her county!

What i'm getting at here, IF the City of Tombstone does in fact have a ban on lawful carry, it would ( Normally) be by order of the Sheriff who does have the powers of law to do so! State laws can be held unlawful within a county, but it takes big ballz and a a serious legal fight to make it stick, something reserved for the most egregious of circumstances!

Personally, I think it's the city counsel/business owners making this policy and in fact has NO FORCE OF LAW behind it, and the Sheriff has remained quiet, ether because he doesn't want to run afoul of his voters, or it has yet to become an issue which would force his position! Ether way, good luck in your travels there!
