I'm constantly amazed at how many 1911's come with crappy mags that lead to failures.

Just about finished on this one ....... White Oak 'Target Competition' 1/7 26" Barrel. Uses an 'extended rifle gas block .... 17" that is .936' ..... I look forward to testing it out at 500 Yards....... :)

Very nice Randy! I'm planning on building something like this once I get to Phoenix, since I imagine it'll be much easier finding places to shoot long range in Arizona than it is here in the Northwest. Is that chambered in .223? If so, how does that cartridge compare to .308 in long range applications?

Hi Joe, while this will handle up to a 110gr round the .308 is made for much longer ranges ....... I started with the .223/5,56 and slowly worked my self up to the larger calibers.

Would be willing to lay ods if we posted pics of all our guns, we could crash the site.

JM Marlin Ballard #5 Pacific in .45-70, mfg 1877-78. Great shape, incredibly accurate and I still shoot it a lot.

Colt 1873 SA, Colt letter says mfg 1886 in ,44-40. Shows holster carry wear, very good shape mechanically with tight internals. Good bore with sharp rifling and I do shoot it a little, so much fun I have to restrain myself from shooting it more.

Beautiful guns! Do you know what the eagle on the Colt signifies?

My 11-y/o niece taking first shots with a Ruger 22/45/ (Me in BG "supervising/cheering the "natural")

The others are too big to fit or too boring to show. For me, the 11-y/o is the real winner. The rest is just eye-candy.
