I never much cared for the alcohol stoves, they in my experience have all the same issues a regular camp stove does, without any of the benefits. Generally, I prefer my larger coleman stoves, as they have two burners, they're hard to knock over, and the lid/windscreen allows you to cook even when it's cold and windy. All of these are pretty important issues to me.

AMP - agreed - prefer the Coleman stoves I have to alcohol - one is propane, the other white gas. Just thought that the soda can alcohol stove was a cool concept in a pinch and the idea that you could make one with stuff that is always on hand if you don't have the camp stove with you.
