I know you're asking about a 10/22 receiver, but just wanted to throw this out there. Have you considered the T/CR22 from Thompson/Center? I picked one up a few months ago and really like it over the 10/22s I'ved owned in the past.

I really like the sights (rear peep, fiber optic front), the stock is lightweight/feels good, the barrel is threaded, the receiver has a PIC rail machined into it. Overall, it just feels like a better rifle, to me.
