I currently live in SW WA and I'm very well established on NWFA, but as it happens I will soon be moving to Phoenix.
My wife just accepted a job down there.
I will not live there full time, at least not for a year or so, since my daughter is set to graduate high school this year.
I will stay here, and probably snowbird back and forth after that. I don't tolerate heat very well so this could be an interesting transition.
I joined this forum some time ago, but haven't really done much... in fact this is only my second post! I figure if we're going to be neighbors soon, I better start checking in on my new peeps.

Anyway I'm Mygrainman and I'm an AR15 addict.
I obsess over the platform...Buy sell and trade parts and accessories in order to pay for my addiction.
Most recently I got into clone builds(Sopmod M4s, Mk18s, Mk12s, etc)
I do dabble in other platforms as well, I like all things firearm.

I look forward to doing what I can help this site grow into the same sort of monster we have up here with NWFA.
Let's get this party started!

Hi. I moved away from that commie, socialist, Governor Inslee 3 years ago to Arizona. I lived in socialist Washington State for 63 years, 66 now and saw the light. I lived the past 16+ years in Curlew Wa. and the years before in and around Seattle for 47 years. This is the best thing I ever did...........

Just in wondering where Curlew is, I did a websearch. Found some images. You left a fabulously beautiful place. But I understand your yearning for Freedom, and why you escaped to Arizona...

It was indeed beautiful. The county was about 7,200 sq miles with 7,000 residents. I do miss my friends. I've met some pretty good people here.

. . . I hate deer meat.
I've eaten it at least once, way back in the middle 1960s. I guess it can be really good-- if it's prepared and cooked properly. My mother must not have looked on the web and gotten the instructions to pull it off successfully. I hated the way it chewed as compared to beef and it just tasted like something I'd never want to taste twice. I've held to that belief for over fifty years...

My first deer I shot, I left the hide on it all day, came home, skinned it, let it hang in 55 degree weather in my garage, had it butchered. My friend told me that's how you do it.....BARF !!!! It was a Blacktail. 2nd deer was a mule deer. I treated that deer right away. Still funky tasting. 3rd deer was a Whitetail. That wasn't bad when seasoned for tacos. At least I killed all 3 species in Washington State.......

Was told today that the way to take the crappy taste out of deer is to cut the scent glands off the backside of the legs. Seems the animal pishes on the things to mark his territory or some such bullschumer. The smell gets all through the meat, I'm told. No matter; I'll never try that shizzle again...

Me, too. It's classified as to how many I own...

What's so great about the platform is that you can make them up in so many different configurations. All of mine are different: different handguards, triggers, buttstocks, muzzle devices, barrel profiles, barrel lengths, front sights, rear sights, charging handles, railed or A2 uppers, "protruding" pistol grips (those drive Feinswine crazy), bolt releases, takedown and pivot pins and anything else I can find on ebay to make my rifle different from the one three benches down the firing line. Why have a wheppin that looks like the one owned by the chubby glans penis wearing the thick glasses and bowl-cut haircut just a few feet away? ARs are LEGO blocks for grown men. Go nuts, man!

Welcome to Arizona! You'll find it to be one of the best, if not THE best gun friendly state in the Union.
If you're ever in the Prescott area, I specialize in the AR platform as a class 07 FFL manufacturer and dealer. It would be great to share ideas with you!

All the Kool Kids are moving to AZ!

We will be down there at the end of the month, house shopping, then hope to be able to permanently relocate in January or February.

Maybe us PNW refugees can get together some time.

We bought a Townhome in Tubac..the only thing I hate is no garage only carports. You cannot leave anything outside. HOA's. I haven't lived in a town in 30 years.

There are regular homes here with garages. Stick parking though..
