Dogs and guns what could be more perfect. You have the basics covered. I always shied away from the 40-65 because of hand loading.
I do have a Shiloh Sharps 45-70. Which I bought before I had learned how to reload. Now I take it hunting and if I can keep everyone away from me I do all right. To many lookie loos when I am moving about or at the range.

Gorgeous litter of 7, German Shorthair? My neighbor in a cabin near me Swears by them. We live 55 mi N of Vegas. They took their femsle up to Cedar City UT couple years ago to get breed. Dogs are MAN'S Best Friend Hang in there
