Happy I live where a ten-minute ride puts me way the hellsinki out in the desert. I chose the small town in which I live just because the desert is so close. I suppose some numbnuts could say-- defying all the laws of Newtonian physics-- that a .224" diameter bullet exiting the muzzle at 3250 fps and along a flight path just slightly above horizontal will travel five or six miles and come to Earth in a schoolyard. During recess period, of course. From where I shoot that's an impossibility so immense, it's beyond reason to even consider such an occurrence. But firearms-haters entertain the impossible as possible and assign reason to questions that never need being asked. They all but truly believe a brick can be taught new tricks if they were to try hard enough-- and to offer sufficient positive reinforcement to said brick when it performs even a simple trick with no screw-ups. Ever seen a brick "roll over and play dead?" "Sit, brick! Sit!"

Your lucky to have such space so close. My new place I have to go about 20 minutes down the freeway to get to the no "G" territory. As in no cell phone service. Yep Arizona has vast areas of no digital communication.
