I moved to Vegas back in 1990-- working at the casino's as a line & prep cook. Not a day went by that we heard someone in management let everybody know that there was a line of people waiting outside to take our jobs, which sucked btw.

I'm much happier being self-employed in AZ. If I pay my utility bill a day late here, nobody cares--in Vegas they would have your gas, water or phone shut off by 5pm if ya was late-- So easy to see just how much folks in Vegas truly care

It sucks it being a right-to-work state. A lot of that attitude is long gone, but I also worked down in the Phoenix area part-time while I was stationed down there. I didn't like having to pay state tax on my part-time gig and they tried to put a lien for my military pay as well.

It gets dam-ned hot down there, and it's very low humidity. Expect your oak furniture to dry and crack. I like it up here in the Lyon, Storey and Washoe County area. Lots and lots of empty desert very close for shootin' at targets a long, long ways away...
