The link has a bad habit of jumping to something else and cant be returned without going through your link, but it certainly brings up some points to be considered. I'm not fond of the NRA for several reasons: for those of you who love it, God bless you and your point of view, I just think there are better options, as pointed out by the article. Lots of people complain about the dilution of 2A rights caused by negotiated terms, seems like the smaller and local groups are A LOT less tolerant of the political mind bending and game playing.

State level grassroot entities are good to mesh and rub elbows with state/community leaders but at times lack the financial resources needed.

Additionally. state level grassroot entities have a perplexing problem staying focused on issues and 'citizen' perceptions of what is reality in their states vice what the grassroots leadership believes is the priority.

Finally, some entities operate in 'secrecy' even from their dues paying membership. TX OC is one such entity, C.J. runs the show, period.
