I just moved from south of Boston to the Scottsdale area. I am a NRA instructor for rifle and pistol and I am also an RSO. I am a certified Glock Armorer. I sold most of my guns before I moved so I am working on rebuilding my collection.
My EDC is a Glock 19 MOS with an RMR, Streamlight TLR1s, in a Bravo concealment holster.
Really looking to find some good shooting spots.

Welcome to Free AZ! You are surrounded by great ranges, like Rio Salado and Ben Avery north of you, and several rifle welcome indoor ranges like Shooters World and Caswells. I love to shoot my CZs down here at the Casa Grande Elzy Pearson public range about 65 miles south of you - unmonitored and free, plus it's around the corner. Featured in all of my YouTube videos, too. Again welcome!

Welcome to America!!!!!

You can feed 13+ round mags to that Glock here.

Scottsdale Gun Club is about as posh a range as you can find but naturally a price tag comes with luxury. If your looking for work it might be a good place to drop a resume. I still say Phoenix Rod and Gun is the best membership value in the valley. Lots of other good places to shoot here. In fact there's a recent post about it that's very well covered. Enjoy!

Welcome!

For shooting spots... Desert or actual ranges?

Desert = Table Mesa area off the I17, North of Anthem as closest I know of easy access to Scottsdale. There may be other desert areas, I just don't know them up there.

33.982507, -112.141075 on google maps will get you to the main intersection, maintained dirt roads. Either direction north or west from there has plenty of spots off the road to shoot, decent back drops. Watch for ATV's, 4x4's, etc. Open to shooting now again after the rains, still no open fires. No tracers, no explosive targets(allowed, lol). It falls under Hassayampa area in the links below. Quick links on the right will get you to the easy navigate fire pages if you want.
