I'm in Kingman, for the most part is an ok 'city'. There are lots of ca lefties moving here, they can't build houses fast enough. I've not found people overly friendly to folks moving here from out of state, I came from vt 8 yrs ago.
Not much doing, other than restaurants and grocery store. There is a good range very close, Mohave valley sportsman club, otherwise known as 3 mile range.
Just my 2 cents worth.

I agree with nascar, better it get returned than go somewhere never to be seen again. I filed years back, zero issue, then sent in paperwork to get it 'upgraded' to disability, no issues with that either, went right thru.

I'd say you were dam-ned lucky to have the government do something for you-- with no screw-ups-- the first time you tried. I didn't want to call Social Security from home, then wait on Hold for several months before they'd answer. So I girded my loins and went bodily into battle. Turns out, it wasn't all that bad. The capper was that I was so close to Total Wine & More on South Virginia Avenue, that I went there afterward and bought a few six-packs of craftbeer I'd never-before consumed.

I have since received one deposit, but my monthly Medicare payment had not been deducted. So now I have to get that figgered-out. My dad suggests emailing OPM to get them to automatically deduct the Medicare every month. What's your guess as to how well OPM would be able to do something like that? Please bear in mind that Slim has already left town...
