Today's real meaning seems to have been lost somewhere. This day was designated as a day to remember all those who gave their lives in service to this country.

While we can and should enjoy the day's activities, family/friends at a barbecue, lake, fireworks display, etc., we shouldn't lose sight of the hundreds of thousands who gave all they had in defense of liberty around the world. Regardless of the location, or the branch of service or the circumstance, their devotion and commitment, and their oath, compelled them to sacrifice their lives in defense of our nation and its allies.
