As to runnin hard cast through a G-20, NO PROBLEMO, Mine runs LaserCast and BuffaloBore just fine and pretty accurately!
Mine has a newer Wolf Barrel with ( Supposedly) enhanced chamber support and runnin the spring cup, and it did seem to help, but the old set up ran just fine as it was, just got a little nervous running some of the hotter loads I roll! My 2011/1911's all run the stuff perfectly, and no presure issues, so it's just a Block thing!

Just to make sure you noticed, he said with a Wolf barrel...

YUP, I did try it with a few stout 200 Gr hardcast hand loads, and the "Smiley Face" was pretty noticeable! but no signs of pushed primers or case swelling on the Standard G20 Gen 1 Barrel! Swapped to the newer Wolf and the Smileys are still there, but not as bad!
Now I can run the super nuke'um 220 gr loads safely and she runs like a.................Glock!
