Hmmm.. Personally I probably wouldnt touch it unless it has been product improved over the last few years. XTP is a dynamite round which I know from experience with 9mmP. HOWEVER when I was actively employed, it was department issue for a time. It was not recommended because the weight of the bullet was a bit much to be fired efficiently from the Parabellum round. An attempt to get to .40 or .45 ballistics. The stuff is safe to shoot, don't misunderstand me, it's perceived terminal ballistics were considered under-par compared to the 115 gr and 125 gr pills.

As above its weight does not allow it to achieve enough velocity to always expand. I use the XTP bullets in 124 gr. DR

It's fine if you're running it in a suppressed gun, or a sub gun. The XTP is an ancient bullet design and tends to shed jackets. If you need the 147 for a sub gun, or to stay sub-sonic, look for Speer gold dot 147's.
