The NRA does not have too much power. I'd like to see it have a ton more than they already do. If 5 million "men who love other men" showed-up on the Capitol steps and began to physically demonstrate their affections for each other under the First Amendment, you can dam-ned well bet the Congress would somehow find what they're doing (in public, no less) to be well within the law. But if five million owners of AR-type rifles showed-up and said "We own these firearms, but have no intentions whatsoever to ever use them in a violent crime," the Evil Left would call us liars, murderers, terrorists, cop killers and baby-killers. The Republican Party wouldn't hesitate one second to fall right in line-- especially if it's an election year...
