Meet Paul Blart, Idiot Mall cop.

This one may require a lawsuit to figger-out. The Peace Officer cannot leave his weapon in his vehicle under I would assume, any circumstances. There had been thefts of weapons from police vehicles in San Francisco when I was driving down there six days a week. I don't think any AR-type weapons were stolen, but I sort o' remember a handgun was stolen. How much easier would it have been for the officer to take that firearm with him instead of leaving it essentially unsecured in his vehicle? So now there's a handgun roaming around the greater SFO area. How long until it's used to commit a crime, if it has not already been used for such?
