Just picked up one today, two extra barrels, all different lengths and chokes. This is the Aluminum receiver with gold inlay. Belgium manufacture.

From what I have read they were mostly hand assembled and scrolling by hand. Yes, the anodized are more valuable as well as rib or channel barrels however this is a pretty cool piece. 1955-1971, 67000 made.

What's you're thoughts?

I'll get some more pictures up tomorrow.

The internals of the receiver and bore are in excellent condition. The wood has a nice luster but shows closet wear. The butt pad has been replaced but I did find an original one that will be installed bringing it to OEM.

Barrel lengths,

25 1/2 - 27 1/2 - 29 1/2.

12 gauge - 2 3/4 inch shells.

Working on date of manufacture. Serial # A32920. I'll shoot Browning an email as the first digit doesn't jive. "A" stands for aluminum receiver. Chokes were designated by asterisks.

A side note. Trap and skeet competitions allow this shotgun due to two shells limit in receiver thus Browning called them a 12 DA. (Double Action)

Butt plate is on it's way so in the meantime I got things ready. Fortunately the handmade mess was installed with double sided tape.

I was surprised the original screws were behind it and the stock had not been cut. A little time to clean things up, not going to worry about the residue inside the stock.

It's going to look so much better with the original butt plate. Lucky to find one ending the day I searched.

Thank you!

Cleaning up even better. A little Seal One on the barrel and receiver. Installed the 29.5 inch barrel. Takes about 15 seconds to swap.

Shorter barrels take up less room in the safe. A little touch up stain. Really a sweet shotgun!

Have an email into Browning. Thinking it might be a 1963 manufacture.

Just received an email from Browning on the Twelvette.

"Hello,
Thank you for the email. That would be a 1960 model with a Hiduminium receiver."

Sincerely,
Browning Customer Service

This would make it 59 years old.

Just beautiful, but are you going to use it? I have an A-5 that is in my stable. It is also a Belgium made shotgun. Shine on the wood is fantastic considering the year and the amount of corn stocks it has moved for me.
