I have always had a problem with the words state police.

It would seem that some is out using the wild wood weed again. On the surface this might sound like a good idea. However it will get really messy upon implementation.

Sounds like AZ police are worried about that 'defund the police' thing...

How about a law to protect me from losing my regular budget? Last I checked, AZ was considered a 'right to work' state, which also makes it a right to get fired state

The last thing any mayor or city council wants is to lose control of their police department. This may really be a dis-incentive to defund local police.
