IMO, most of the pawn shops in Albuquerque are trash for gun prices. You'd have to do a lot of haggling. That being said, I haven't visited one in a while.
Good to know, thanks. Bulldog in Rio Rancho has had some screaming deals but you need to walk in with cash in hand because inventory moves quickly. ABQ Guns on occasion but not as often as BD. Rio Rancho Armory is cool but small.

I got to thinking about it, and you're going to have a much better experience buying used guns and Rio Rancho than Albuquerque. The city passed an ordinance a while back and they are hard enforcing it now where any business that purchases used items had to hold it for seven days before selling. It was intended for pawn shops from selling stolen goods, but one of the pawn shop owners owned multiple locations and was mad and threw gun stores under the bus. Many gun stores in Albuquerque stopped taking used guns and only do Consignments.

All true. However, did not see you mention that the 7 day waiting period (which I understand is a State law) does NOT apply to first responders, military and CCW holders. They can all get their firearms same day with background approval. Or did I misunderstand a difference between the state law and a City law?

The 7 day period does apply to first responders and military. You have to have a ccw to receive it the same day.

Two different laws. There's a 7 day wait for guns minus CCW and I think LEO?

But ABQ passed and ordnance that the Store buying the used item (not just firearms), has to hold it from being sold for 7 or 10 days. And that extends to a lot of items, Guitar center has guitars you can't pick up until the seasoning period ends. So it's not just fire arms.
