I keep seeing these pop up for sale on the gun sites. Has anyone here actually fired one of them?? Do they meet the hype that Beretta put out about them?? If they are a decent pistol, I might consider picking one up. If they are crappy like the PX4, then I will pass. What say ye??
I personally like the PX4 series, and I think the APX is one of the fuglier pistols out there... although I've never shot one, I'm sure it wouldn't disappoint (performance wise) as Beretta is "top shelf" kit.
On a scale of 1 to 226 SAO Legion, I'd give it a 7 overall. For ergos, the APX (with the finger grooves) feels best in hand of the several dozen handguns that have come through my safe. She's a tad wide. Trigger is on the better side of OK. There's nothing really special about the gun but I like it enough. Can't talk to the hype since all the GunCos have hype. It comes to shootability and southpaw friendliness for me.
PX4 is quite different and the groups I get with it are about the same as my SAO Legion but not as good as my Model 19.
