move along folks nothing to see as it is a blatant self-promo...mom's against everything, as evidenced by the newspeek media's photos showing the 'concerned students' wearing their orange t's, er mom's calling card!

not sure why mom's believe getting the youngsters registered will make a difference as voters since the concept of voting is a dying concept, especially if you look at percentages of adults who voted last presidential election.

I'll vote in Nevada to defend my Liberty against a bunch of idiot teenagers who employ mercurial emotion over experience and intellect to take their decisions. The voting age should be raised to encompass only those who have paid Social Security taxes for not less than ten years. This would be modified to allow for voting by those who have served six years of active military duty.

Poor kids have been brainwashed with leftist agenda since day 1 of the first grade. They are trying to give away their rights before they are old enough to understand the importance of their loss.

I was unaware that I was was sending my children to school to be educated in political activism. I thought they were learning the basics of how our government came into being and how it functions. Shame on the teachers for promoting their agenda and shame on the administrators for allowing it. Lets get back to education, most graduates from our school systems can't answer basic questions about history, geography or mathematics.

Sorry, any educational system in this country is a triad comprised of the community, the school system, and the caregivers.

Oh of course let's not forget the Common Core tests we as caregivers have allowed out national/state/local legislators to propagate which will be used to assess both students and teachers, and they are critical to the larger mission of the standards: to increase academic rigor for all students and to allow states to better evaluate their students and compare them to those in other states.

As of 2014, PARCC has estimated its test will cost $29.50 per student – about the median its member states now pay for standardized tests; Smarter Balanced has estimated its test will cost $22.50 per student for the end-of-year exam and $27.30 per student including mid-year exams, less than current standardized test costs in two-thirds of the member states.

To be shown as a successful school system within the state system and show as successful state within the national scheme...the only material taught by the schools is the material on the 'common core' assessment instruments.

Answered the reason the school system endorsed this educational modality... now where are the caregivers who have abrogated their oversight in their charges?

If the existence of the 'triad' were real the educational system might work. Parents these days use the school system as day care, expecting teachers to take care of their kids while they participate in other activities, whether it is a job or leisure. Teachers are totally indoctrinated in their views by their liberal professors and pass it on to their charges rather than instruct. Administrators only care about having good attendance to assure their funding and good scores on achievement tests to justify the money. As for the students, they don't care about the achievement tests. I have a daughter in HS and the feedback I get from her gives creedance to all of the above Here in AZ, we were held hostage by the 'red4ed' movement, forcing the legislature to increase the pay level of everyone in the system even though we rank 43rd in the nation for quality of education. They got a 20% raise but I'll bet that the quality of education won't change. Now they are looking for more, planning on taxing the high income brackets, as that is an easier ploy to sell to the bulk of the population.

The government supplies the money that keeps most public school systems running; you can dam-ned well bet the Evil Left has gotten in there and is spreading the cancer of socialism and Communism. It started after the 1963 Supreme Court ruling that took God out of the public schools. That kids know nothing of history is abundantly demonstrated when Jesse Watters does his "Watters' World" segments on FOX News. We see kids in their mid-20s who answer "Germany" when Watters asks them "Who won World War II?" Or, "When was the American Civil War?" Answer, "Uhhh... 1965?" The Evil Left wants an idiot populace; makes conquest and control so much easier...

You don't have to even 'bet' that the liberals have invaded academia. Go to any college campus and find a conservative professor, they are as rare as hens teeth. You can't even have a conservative speaker come to most universities without having to set up 'safe spaces' for the little snowflakes to hide in so their minds won't be contaminated by any thought other than liberalism. If you do manage to have a conservative speaker venture on campus, they had better be prepared to be shouted down, threatened and/or the campus will be set ablaze by Antifa thugs.
