Yes, I have, and I have spoken to many regarding the importance of defending our rights, including the unalienable right to life, and therefore the right to defend that life from anyone who would unjustly try to take it from you. From that position it follows that the we have the right to secure tools such as firearms for that self defense.

Your tone and words are very poorly chosen.. WE ARE AN EXAMPLE OF RESPONSIBILITY AND CIVILIZED BEHAVIOR, there are just too many illegal immigrants and fringe factions who want to change our basic concepts. Would that they would all go back to where they purport to come from. If youre American, say so. If you want to be a SOMETHING AMERICAN, go back to where SOMETHING is and stay there. Not to diminish what you wrote, but the Second Amendment is not given to the People by the Constitution. The Second Amendment codifies the Natural Right of all peaceful humans to defend themselves against those who would commit murder or other violent crimes upon them. Natural Rights descend from God; no man can confer such Rights. It then follows that no man can abbreviate nor usurp a Natural Right.

The Second Amendment is at first a Power, if you will, to defend your Right to Free Speech. The Second guarantees your Freedom to take up arms to have your minority opinion be heard over the volume of the majority opinion, should those who adhere to the majority opinion be demanding the extermination of those who adhere to the minority opinion. Let us think back to Germany in 1938, as an example. The subsequent Power of the Second is that you have the option to do more than just stand there and be murdered by an entity that has decided you shall no longer live. No; you may return his decision with fire and lead until he decides to disengage and leave you be, or until you have killed him.

Americans have a codified Right to defend their lives against both evil men and evil government. Think how much more Free would be the Peoples of the world if all nations recognized the Natural Right of all men to defend their own lives. I'm reminded that during the 20th Century, somewhere along the lines of 156 million people died or were outrightly murdered because of gun control laws. Stalin murdered 20 million. I'd have to research the numbers, but I'm sure Mao murdered tens of millions. Dr. Ernesto "Che" Guevara-- a demi-god of the Evil Left-- was himself closely involved with the murder of 70,000. Fidel Castro murdered 700,000. Pol Pot murdered 2 million in Cambodia. The list goes on and on. In no country will you see a list of millions dead because the government of that country had made individual self-defense a part of its law. No man, no small group of men nor even a small army could kill millions and millions. Only government can commit such a crime, because only government can decide that large-scale murder is not a crime...

The question then begging to be asked is "Why?" The answer is a second question. To wit, "If 20 million Russians had been possessed of arms, would Stalin have been so inclined to murder them?" The answer, I believe, is obviously No. Stalin might have ordered the Red Army to begin the slaughter, but the targets would have resisted. Only God knows what would have been the result.
