Guns, Gear, Accessories, Etc: What did you buy today?

Yet another smokin deal. I’m on a roll. Came in to my LGS, customer wanted to sell this and some other low end firearms. After the customer left I heard the owner say “John, wash your hands!” I stopped what I was working on and followed the command. (I do contract work, pics are at my work...

    Thompson Center Contender .357/.44...

Depends on several things. I just picked up one a did quite a bit of reading. Two barrels is a plus. What year is it? It seems the old schoolers prefer the G1 model for the awesome trigger while others say the G2 is the one. There are several noted differences one being the hammer safety. Three...

Guns, Gear, Accessories, Etc: What did you buy today?

Just an update. I contacted S&W about the Contender I picked up. I did some research on my own stating a early 1977 model. I was hoping this was correct because T/C records were lost in a fire in 1997. Here is the reply today. Reference number: LTK1114701716956X Please use this ticket number...

Guns, Gear, Accessories, Etc: What did you buy today?

This is my first TC handgun so for those of you that are familiar with them please enlighten me. I sent an email to TC with serial number to verify year. From what I have read and little information from the seller I believe this to be a Contender, not the G2 model. First guess is early 80’s...

Guns, Gear, Accessories, Etc: What did you buy today?

Brought this home from my LGS today. Pays to do contract work for them. Thompson Center 357 mag in a more desirable 10 inch barrel. Check the blueing in the pictures. Thing is spotless. Missing rear sight, papers and box. Paid $350. Thought I better buy it. LOL

    KBI .380, a little gem.

I seem to save everything so check this out. KBI 380 ACP. I bought this new many years ago. (22 or so.) I venture to say less than 50 rounds. Marks around the lower frame from carry. I had a gunsmith friend blue the slide. You can see the color reflecting off of the light in one picture...

Like my 45LC? Looked at the 45-70 but had a 45LC pistola. Saves different calipers. Both Henry’s will get the large loop lever.

    I agree.

What are you shooting in Rimfire?

I understand but surprised how much better than a 22 mag. 100 yards is about right for me, maybe a little further. Wind is the enemy.

What are you shooting in Rimfire?

I have a gaggle of 22 caliper rifles. Who doesn’t? Within the last year I’ve become attached to the 17HMR. My first was just a Ruger American. A very nice rifle for the money. My second was a Browning T-Bolt. I returned the Ruger to stock and used the rimfire scope on the Browning. Actually the...

Actually it would be free! Amazon now honors one of my CC points. Didn’t realize over time I earned enough points to purchase at no cost. I should pay attention to these things huh?
