Pros
  • Great place for new shooters to get a "grip" on shooting
  • Outdoors with abundant Sonoran scenery
  • Friendly and helpful staff that knows what and when to say
  • Affordable $6 fee
Cons
  • Only open Friday, Sat, and Sun
  • Only 12 lanes so it gets filled up quick
  • Only 100 yards deep
While shooting outdoors seems like it would be easy to manage in Arizona, it is getting harder and harder to find a safe and fun place to shoot.
Tucson Mountain Park lets you have all the fun of shooting your pistols, rifles, and shotguns, without worrying about your safety or trespassing.

Tucson Mountain Park is a pleasant drive from anywhere. The scenic Sonoran desert is spectacular.
There is an excellent place to eat nearby called Coyote Pause Cafe where the food and drinks are sure to refresh.
Near the Cafe, there are galleries and stores if your "Significant Other" would prefer not to go shooting.

Managed by Pima county with helpful friendly staff. Since it's the desert, yes it's best to get there early. Facilities are onsite. ADA capable.
