I am needing a Ruger Super Blackhawk or Original Vaquero cylinder in either 44 Mag or 44-40 Winchester.
I bought a "44 mag Kit Ruger Vaquero" from Every Gun Part. The barrel was a 4.625 " barrel and the gun I was putting together for a guy had a 7.5" which the guy wanted a shorter barrel. I bought a Bisley hammer trigger from Ron Powers and I had a New old stock In White, Large frame Bisley grip frame. I started work on the gun and when it came time to rechamber the 44 mag cylinder to 44-40... IT WAS A 45 Colt cylinder. They offered to refund my money but I was about to fit the barrel as that was the guys one big change he wanted. Today when I checked EveryGunPart.com inventory they have a SS 44 Mag kit. I left a message for the owner if that would be acceptable. Try selling him on the idea that the 44-40 cylinder being SS would help to prevent the ammo being mixed up by firing a 44 Mag in the wrong cylinder. But if he doesn't go along with it I am still needing a blue 44 Mag or 44-40 Winchester.
